Its starting point is the discovery, by a collector, of a film from the 1930s recording the celebrations that took place in Majorca as a result of the sanctification of the nun. The storyline of Cercant la Beata (Searching for the Blessed One) unfolds as a search for other testimonies that might explain the level of devotion to the saint.
